For those of us who might remember, there was a game that was released for the SEGA Genesis and Super Nintendo called “Flashback: Quest for Identity” that was released back in 1993.  It played like an old-school Prince of Persia but featured state-of-the-art graphics and a strong storyline.  Well, the creator, Paul Cuisset is currently working on a new title called “Amy”.

The year is 2034, a comet has crashed in a mid-western town and has caused everyone to become senile.  Playing as Lana, a wounded survivor whom is infected by that of what the rest of the population is infected with.  Tagged along with a girl named Amy, they must both find a cure and escape.

While the game is said to focus more on puzzle-solving than combat, you will still be able to defend yourself.  The game will focus on the relationship Lana and Amy will form.  The more you protect Amy, the more she reveals what abilities she has.  There will even be times where you’ll have to throw yourself in harm’s way to protect Amy.

The game is sounding really interesting and for fans of “Flashback”, this could be a big hit.  “Amy” is slated for release in summer of 2011, exclusively to PSN.
