Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City Details and Screenshots

March 28, 2011

Capcom has confirmed that in collaboration with Slant 6 Games, they are developing a new Resident Evil title for the PS3, 360 and PC.  The game titled, “Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon CIty”, will take place during the Resident Evil 2 & 3 time period.  Players will assume the control of the Umbrella Special Forces task force to wipeout the infection and any survivors remaining in the city.  It is stated that the game will also have a four-player coop campaign mode for you and your buddies to take on those zombies.  As for killing “survivors”, they mean you can actually eliminate Leon, Claire, Jill and any other characters that were involved during the RE 2 & 3 story arc.  It’s essentially a “what if” story, which is a new direction for the Resident Evil franchise.  Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon CIty is slated for a Winter release this year.  In the meantime, check out the screenshots below to see what the game looks like.
