"What...is this?!"

Capcom has officially announced the eighth (and final) character for the upcoming “Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D.”  Barry Burton will be back for more zombie shooting, majini killing action.  While it’s very cool to see Barry back again, let’s be honest…most fans were waiting for a Leon announcement.  Capcom is clearly dropping the ball by not putting Leon S. Kennedy as one of the characters in this game.  Leon is still considered one of the most popular characters in the RE franchise and it’s very puzzling to see that he won’t be in this game.  Does Capcom have a surprise in store for players that complete the game?  Is it still possible that Leon is an unlockable character that they’re keeping secretive at the moment?  Only time will tell…

In the meantime, check out the screenshots of Barry Burton blasting enemies with the signature “Handcannon” and “Samurai Edge” and sound off your thoughts in the comments!
