Resident Evil 4 HD and Code: Veronica HD Release Dates Announced

July 23, 2011

News

Capcom has announced at the SDCC that we will not have to wait too much longer for the RE4 HD and RE: CV HD editions.  Resident Evil 4 will be hitting the PSN and XBLA on September 20th.  A week later, Resident Evil: Code Veronica will be releasing on September 27th through both the PSN and XBLA as well.  Now, these are strictly available for download only and will not have a retail disc version.  Maybe Capcom shouldn’t have produced Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition on disc or the upcoming Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 and put their money toward the RE disc instead for us RE faithfuls…

Personally I’ll stick with the Wii version, but at least the HD consoles get to have some RE4 action.

The only reason I personally can’t stick with the Wii version anymore is because it looks terrible on my HDTV compared to my SDTV. Luckily the HD version will help with that transition. However, I strongly disagree with Capcom’s method to strictly release it digital as opposed to giving us the option to go out and purchase the box/disc for it (like they’re doing for Japan).
