Syphon Filter 4 Coming to PS3 in Winter 2012?

September 4, 2011

Gabe's finally making his way to the PS3

If sources are correct, then it appears fans of the Syphon Filter franchise will be extremely pleased to hear that Gabe Logan will be returning with a new installment on the PS3.  Yes, we’ve heard this story numerous times and fans have been disappointed year by year that no announcement has been made yet.  However, according to the Official PlayStation Magazine Italy, it was translated stating “Syphon Filter 4 is slowly gearing up for a release on PS3. Expect a launch for Winter 2012.”

It is currently rumored that the game will take place right after the events (and shocking cliffhanger ending) of Syphon Filter: Logan’s Shadow.  SCE London Studio is reported to be behind the project and ensures that it will utilize a sophisticated visuals engine.  The title is slated for release in Winter of 2012 exclusively for the PS3.

Well Syphon Filter fans, is it about time Gabe gets the spotlight on the PS3?  Sound off in the comments!

This is groundbreaking!! I cannot believe this series will finally have a sequel hopefully worthy enough to its Playstation 1 predecessors and PSP ones as well.
