Wii U Releasing Late 2012; Final Build Console at E3 2012

This isn't what the retail console will look like.

Nintendo’s President, Satoru Iwata, just confirmed that they will be showing off the final build console for retail at E3 2012. This pretty much means if you were expecting the Wii U to release any time before June 2012, it won’t be happening. Here’s what Iwata had to state:

“We would like to show the final format of the Wii U at the E3 show next year.”

This is actually good news considering that it gives developers more time to try and release some solid launch titles for the Wii U later in 2012. Are you planning on getting the Wii U? Sound off in the comments below!

Hell yeah. I’m really glad Nintendo is taking initiative to be more prepared with this one. Good on them.
