News

Remember playing the classic Simpsons Arcade Game back in the 90’s? Well, I sure do and for those who don’t know what I’m talking about, then you’re in for a treat. The Simpsons Arcade Game was a classic 4 player coop, beat-em-up game in which players controlled Homer, Bart, Marge and Lisa. It was made from the fine team at Konami, whom were also responsible for the classic TMNT arcade games.

The Simpsons Arcade game came out back in 1991. Oddly, the game was never ported to a console…until now. Fast forward to present day 20 years later and it appears The Simpsons Arcade Game is rumored to be releasing on the PSN and XBLA! According to the Australian Classification Board, they mentioned that Konami Digital Entertainment will be the publisher and that Backbone Entertainment are responsible for the development.

Backbone Entertainment was also responsible for the flawless conversion of the X-Men Arcade Game that was released on PSN and XBLA last year. Who’s excited to finally be able to play The Simpsons Arcade Game on their home console with the most definite inclusion of online coop? We sure are! Sound off your thoughts below!

Update: It’s confirmed and has a release date! Check out the info here!
