Luigi’s Mansion 2 Receiving a Multiplayer Component?

News

Remember the GameCube’s launch title, Luigi’s Mansion? Many people weren’t crazy about it. I, along with a select few, found it to be an excellent game. Naturally, when Luigi’s Mansion 2 was announced for the 3DS at Nintendo’s E3 Press Conference, I was very excited to see that one of my favorite GameCube titles was receiving a proper sequel. However, I just came across some interesting information for the upcoming sequel. It may have a multiplayer component.

Nintendo of Europe has just recently posted details about the game via their website. While it doesn’t state anything particularly new that we’re not already aware of, one thing caught my eye. It is listed as a “1-2 player” game which is interesting since the original was a single player affair.

While no details were given for the multiplayer, there’s no telling what Nintendo has planned. Will the game have a co-op mode or mini-games? What do you think? Sound off in the comments below!
