Club Nintendo Gets Revamped with Downloadable Games

December 9, 2011

It’s no question that the North American Club Nintendo service has been a bit underwhelming in the rewards department. For those who aren’t aware of what Club Nintendo is, it’s a reward service for those who purchase games published by Nintendo (and occasionally third-party titles) in which you’re given a code in the box of your game to register and earn coins. Those coins are then used to get rewards that are exclusively available via Club Nintendo.

Coming soon however, Club Nintendo is getting a complete revamp and will not only have an entirely new look, but much better rewards. Nintendo will now offer downloadable games for rewards that can be redeemed with your coins for a very reasonable price. The first four games that are being offered for download are: Fluidity (Wii, 150 coins), Super Mario Kart (Wii, 100 coins), 3D Classics: Xevious (3DS, 100 coins) and Mario vs Donkey Kong: Minis March Again! (3ds & DSiWare, 150 coins). These games will be offered until January 10th, in which Nintendo will offer a new batch of rewardable titles.

Round up all your Nintendo published titles and start registering your Club Nintendo codes! What do you guys think? Excited for the revamp? Sound off in the comments below!
