AMY Receiving a Much Needed Patch Update?

April 3, 2012

The infamous AMY released back in January, mainly to some pretty poor reception. It had numerous issues and VectorCell took a lot of it to heart. However, they just posted on their Facebook wall that they have gone back to iron out a chunk of the kinks the game had. No details were announced yet, but here’s what they had to say:

“Hi all.
First of all, sorry for our silence those past weeks. The team were working for you and we didn’t want to communicate before making sure we’d be able to deliver. Not all of your suggestions have been taken into account, but many. We should be able to announce some good news with more details soon… Thanks a lot for your patience.”

I reviewed AMY back in January (found here) and while it had plenty of issues, I still found myself enjoying the game a bit. However, if this update fixes many of the issues I mentioned in the review, then I look forward to returning to the game for another playthrough.

Did you play AMY? What did you think of it? Think the patch may be what the game needs to become more appealing to those weary of the title? Sound off in the comments below!

I’ve just tried the PS3 patch only a few minutes and I can confirm it has an improved savegame system (I walked a bit in the second level and when certain event happended, the saving icon appeared!). The framerate has improved, and there is less or none noise effect.
